    The berths in the harbour are permanently assigned to the members of the Compagnia della Vela. It often happens that the members\u2019 boats are absent for navigation or maintenance. In this case, some berths can be available for transit that the Club willingly makes available to any guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u2022 Draft 2.50 m above average sea level<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Routing to reach the Compagnia della Vela harbour on the Island of San Giorgio:<\/strong>
    to reach the island, you can use the access to the Port of Lido, whose access channel is marked by a lighthouse 2.5 m from the head of the South breakwater with white light and by a pair of lights with red and green respectively 1.3 m from the head of the South breakwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can only enter from the west (the East entrance is prohibited).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Lighthouses and beacons:<\/strong>
    4239.4 (E 2497.4) \u2013 fixed red light beacon, range 2 m in the Canale di S. Marco;
    4239.6 (E 2497.6) \u2013 fixed green light beacon, range 2 m in the Canale di S. Marco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


    Pay attention to the shallow waters at the sides of the sailing canals.<\/strong>
    The lagoon canals and those leading to the harbour are marked by poles (named \u201cbricole\u201d) and are generally not equipped with light signals, making access to the dock difficult at night. Thick fog, in the winter, makes access to the port and the dock even more difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    DARSENA CROZE (DARSENA GRANDE)<\/h3>\n

    <\/span>Isola di San Giorgio<\/span><\/p>\n \n <\/span>+39 339 4787488<\/span><\/a>\n <\/div>\n

    \n

    Location<\/strong>: the harbour is located on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore and overlooks San Marco. It is surrounded by two Istrian stone lantern towers and delimited by a thin pier. Fully renovated in 2004, it was equipped with floating docks on the side facing the island and new water and power supply.<\/p>\n

    Berths<\/strong>: 90, reserved for members and boats in transit. A dock of about 40 meters in length is available to accommodate larger boats or used for mooring competitors for regattas.<\/p>\n

    Boats hosted<\/strong>: sailing boats from 7 to 16 meters compatible with the draft.<\/p>\n

    Sea bottom<\/strong>: muddy \u2013 variable from 2.2 to 2.5 \u2013 3.0 meters.<\/p>\n

    Contacts<\/strong>: the harbour staff works 24h.<\/p>\n

    Services<\/strong>: water and electricity \u2013 toilets and showers are located in the nearby Darsena Verde (300 meters away).<\/p>\n

    Winds and currents<\/strong>: north-east and south-east; since the dock is very sheltered, there are no problems with crosswinds. The dock is subject to the normal tidal excursions of the Venice lagoon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    DARSENA VERDE<\/h3>\n

    <\/span>Isola di San Giorgio<\/span><\/p>\n \n <\/span>+39 339 4787488<\/span><\/a>\n <\/div>\n

    \n

    Location<\/strong>: the dock is located on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore and directly overlooks the lagoon; it faces the island of San Servolo. You can access through the canal called \u201cOrfanello\u201d, when you get the eastern lantern of the Darsena Croze with a canal that runs along the island.
    \nIt is equipped with Istrian stone docks with poles. Thanks to its \u201cprotected\u201d shape, during the summer period the water surface of the dock is used for sailing class with Optimist and Feva.<\/p>\n

    Berths<\/strong>: 22, reserved for its members and boats in transit.<\/p>\n

    Boats hosted:<\/strong> sailing boats from 7 to 12 meters compatible with the draft.<\/p>\n

    Sea bottom<\/strong>: muddy \u2013 variable from 2.2 to 2.5 meters.<\/p>\n

    Contacts<\/strong>: the dock staff works 24h in the nearby Darsena Croze. During the summer period, a sailor is on site working the day on Saturdays and Sundays.<\/p>\n

    Services<\/strong>: water and electricity \u2013 toilets and showers. The dock has a large space overlooking the lagoon suitable for meetings, sailing classes and the awards ceremonies of the different regattas are organized by the Club. There is a slipway for hauling the boats of the sailing school and ribs.<\/p>\n

    Winds and currents<\/strong>: north-east and south-east; since the dock is very protected and has a narrow entrance, it is not affected by problems with the winds. The dock is subject to the normal tidal excursions of the Venice lagoon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
